Ali has always been impressed with Dermalogica’s ethos and approach to skin health and with her own focus about combining a holistic approach with science for long term skin health, it seemed a natural move to work together with Dermalogica when opening her skincare business.

Skin health

Using the best of botanicals and the power of scientific ingredients, when Jane Wurwand launched Dermalogica in 1986 her mission was simple. Instead of teaching ‘beauty school’ to ‘beauticians’ Dermalogica teach skin health to skin therapists, offering the most challenging and rewarding postgraduate skin therapy curriculum in the world.

To date Dermalogica has won more than 300 awards for their revolutionary products and treatments which are all researched and developed by the International Dermal Institute (IDI). Ali says “Dermalogica are dedicated to delivering skin health results through education, innovation and professional recommendation – not sparkly packaging with promises of miracle cures and overblown hype!”

‘Clean’ skincare

Dermalogica is proud to have pioneered the concept of ‘clean’ skincare. Formulas have always been free from artificial colours, synthetic fragrance, mineral oils, lanolin, S.D.Alcohol and formaldehyde. Over the years microplastics, parabens, hydroquinone and phthalates have also been removed. Dermalogica does not, and has never, engaged in animal testing and are recognised cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny and PETA.

Ali takes a bespoke approach with every client. Before any treatment current skin health and condition is determined through a relaxed consultation where all your skin questions can be answered. This evaluates any initial areas of concern and enables treatments to be specifically tailored.

A bespoke approach

Every skin treatment is as individual as each client and their specific skincare needs and may or may not include some of the methods and techniques outlined in the treatment descriptions dependent upon the skin. Treatments are customised for all ages (including younger skins) and can be different every time – skin can change!

Specific skincare

Facial treatments can include all or a combination of deep cleansing, gentle resurfacing (to more intensive, depending on skin requirements), steam, serums, masks, gentle peels, extractions (if needed), lymphatic drainage and facial massage techniques combined with low level non-invasive technology including ultrasonic, microcurrent and LED Phototherapy, Radiofrequency, Nanoinfusion and Microneedling. Treatments can be targeted to address skin concerns such as acne, rosacea, ageing and pigmentation.
